Dana Janklowicz-Mann, Producer/Director

Dana was raised in the US and in Israel. After completing her mandatory service in the Israeli army, Dana attended Camera Obscura, a film school in Tel-Aviv, Israel and later transferred to the School of Visual Arts in New York. During her years in film school, Dana directed several short films and produced many others, including the award winning film Warsaw Story. After graduation Dana moved to Los Angeles with her creative partner Amir Mann. In January 2000 Dana and Amir opened Rebel Child Productions, an independent production company, and have produced two films under this banner: Shanghai Ghetto, a documentary, and The Fifth Patient, a thriller.

Amir Mann, Producer/Director

Amir was born and raised in Tel-Aviv, Israel, where he always dreamed of becoming a filmmaker. After completing his mandatory army service as a staff sergeant in the Artillery, he took film production classes in Tel Aviv during the days and performed stand up comedy at nights. Amir continued his studies at New York University’s Tisch school of the Arts, where he graduated with honors. His thesis short film, Warsaw Story, was screened at more than a dozen international film festivals, was a student Academy Award semi-finalist and was sold for worldwide distribution. Amir produced and co-directed the award winning documentary feature film “Shanghai Ghetto” narrated by Academy Award Winner Martin Landau. The film came out in Theaters in the US in 2002-2003 to great critical and commercial success. In 2003 Amir sold his award winning screenplay (Slamdance 2003), “Final Awakening”, to New Line Television where it was produced as a Twilight Zone episode starring Academy Award Winner Forest Whitaker. Amir has now completed his feature film, The Fifth Patient, starring Nick Chinlund, Marley Shelton, Peter Bogdanovich and Isaach DeBankole. Amir is now working on his next project.
